Getting the most from your security screens with the Crimsafe cleaning range

The security screens fitted around your home are an investment in your property, and like any other fixture, they need to be properly maintained.

Regardless of what type of security screens you have at your home, correct care is essential to rid your screens of dust, dirt, insects and grime.

The Crimsafe Cleaning range of products help prolong the lifespan of your security screens, and ensure they continue to look great for years to come.

Crimsafe’s range of security screens and doors are incredibly strong, and the Tensile-Tuff® stainless steel mesh is highly corrosion resistant. However, all mesh types can act as a filter that traps salt, moisture and airborne impurities – resulting in marks and stains.

Here at North Coast Blinds & Security, we stock the Crimsafe range of cleaning products and highly recommend their use in the often humid, warm Sunshine Coast climate.

Clean and gleaming screens help maintain the image of a well-kept property. Afterall the screen door at the front entrance to your property can be one of the first things that visitors notice upon arriving. A clean screen also maximises the amount of air that can flow through your doors and windows and keep your home cool and well ventilated.

By following the below easy cleaning tips, all your screens can be kept clean and looking as new:

  • Clean frames and mesh with Crimsafe Wash and Wax
  • Use warm water and a soft, non-abrasive brush (eg, a bannister brush)
  • Wipe down with clean water
  • For stubborn marks use Crimsafe Stain Clean
  • Never use strong solvent-based or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage powder-coated surfaces

The table below explains the recommended frequency for cleaning, depending on your environment and location.
