The team and I feel that the key to North Coast Blinds & Security’s success has been a combination of factors, most importantly, a shared commitment to quality products and customer satisfaction.

What future innovations or changes can customers expect from North Coast Blinds & Security and Crimsafe in the coming years?

As a Crimsafe Licensee, it’s reasonable to expect that Crimsafe will continue to expand its range of installation and security options. Technology is moving rapidly, and new innovations are always on the horizon. You’ll have to stay tuned 🙂

How do you ensure the quality and durability of your security screens and doors?

North Coast Blinds & Security ensures the quality and durability of their security screens and doors through several means:

  • High-Quality Materials: We use only the best materials to produce our products.
  • Experienced Craftsmanship: Our manufacturers and installers have had years of extensive training and experience and are all employees, not contractors.
  • Quality Control Processes: We have stringent quality control processes in place to ensure every product adheres to our high standards.
  • Compliance with Standards: Our Crimsafe products meet/or exceed Australian standards, ensuring they are fit for purpose and durable.
  • Warranties: Crimsafe offers a minimum of a 10-year warranty on their products, which serves as a guarantee of their confidence in the quality and durability of their screens and doors.

How has the Crimsafe product line evolved during your time as a licensee?

Since its inception, Crimsafe has undergone various advancements and improvements in its product offering. Now offering four levels of security and various cleaning products.

Can you share some of the most significant challenges and achievements you’ve experienced in these two decades?

Actually, the biggest challenge we have had has been not being able to find more staff since Covid.

Over the past couple of years, the demand for our products has skyrocketed and our lead times have blown out by three times the usual wait time.

How have you seen customer needs and preferences change over the years, and how has your approach adapted to meet these changes?

These days customers tend to know all about the products (due to online enquiry), they require advice on which product to use and the installation process.

What sets North Coast Blinds & Security apart from other Crimsafe Licensees?

We have been servicing the Sunshine Coast for over 25 years and pride ourselves on supplying the best product and service to our customers.

As a veteran in the industry, what advice would you give to homeowners regarding their security screen choices?

Security screens and doors are an investment in your home’s safety and protection. Use a reputable manufacturer who can give expert advice based on your specific requirements and budget.

How did North Coast Blinds & Security get its start?

We started the business in 1997 in our garage. We were buying in our products wholesale and reselling. This only lasted a couple of months until we decided we wanted to manufacture ourselves and have control over quality assurance, so our customers were getting exactly what we promised.

What sets your products and services apart from other security screen providers?

We only use top-quality materials & accessories, even if they cost a little more.

Can you tell us about a challenging project you’ve undertaken and how you successfully completed it?

All our products are custom made therefore sometimes we are asked to make screens of various shapes which sometimes can be quite challenging.

What are the most important factors homeowners should consider when choosing security screens?

Strength and durability are essential for the effectiveness of security screens and doors. The locking mechanism should be robust and tamper-resistant. Triple locks are an extra addition to make your home more secure and add an extra level of security. Ensure the security screen is fitted correctly to ensure functionality and consider the aesthetic appeal to your home.

Can you share some of the latest trends in the security screen industry?

The demand for security screens is on the rise because of their ability to provide added security while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
